Geographical situation
Bayara is situated at 150km from the l headquarter of the North region (Ngaoundere). We can get there by an unpaved and very difficult road in all seasons. It’s a region in which we find lots of high herbs and small trees. Even thou it rains lots in that region; we still see lots of wells that dry out.
The PIHC of Bayara is found at the east side of Ngaoundere. That health area is constituted of 17 villages. The center is situated at 17km from the subdivision’s Medical center (SMC) of Bélél.
The total population of the health area in 2006 went up to 7 710 habitants.

HISTORY
The center started its activities on the 11 of January 2000 by the communities’ participation.
A building that is used as the health center and the other that is for the chief of the center’s residence.
PERSONNEL SITUATION
The center employs 5 people:
- 02 nurses;
- 01 Assistant laboratory technician;
- 01 health auxillary chosen by the Community;
- 01 cleaner chosen by Community.
