Introduction
The PIHC of Balkossa is one of the most remote centers of the OSEELC.
Geographical situation
The PIHC of Balkossa is at 136km from the Poli’s Health division and at 12km from the Nigerian border. It is at 360km, from the headquarter of the health region (Ngaoundere).
It has a population of about 7 148 people.
HISTORY OF THE HEALTH CENTER
The Balkossa health center was created in 1960 by the Norwegian Missionaries Society (NMS).
Personnel situation
The Center employs 3 people :
- 01 Aid nurse (chief of the center);
- 01 Health auxiliary;
- 01 Cashier, representative of the Community.
