Meiganga

The Protestant Integrated health center of Meiganga is located in the town of Meiganga, main town of Mbéré division.

Meiganga is situated on a plateau: the roads, Meiganga - Gbatoua Godolé: 155km, Meiganga - Ngawi: 170km in the East, Meiganga - Yambaka: 60km in the North, Meiganga - Beka: 70km in the South, Meiganga – Ngaoundal: 135km.in the West.

History

In 1945, the Sudan Mission, the Norwegian Missionary Society called NMS and the Lutheran World Federation (FLM) decided to build a hospital in a common agreement in Meiganga. But the administrative political and religious authorities refused at that time that proposition, because they were building up a Government Hospital. In 1947, Ms. BRUTON opened the Protestant Dispensary (Clinic) in Meiganga and this was officially authorized in 1955.

Evoluation.

At the Beginning, the center only had one facility building which was holding all the activities. It’s the building made of stones that hold up the inpatient service. A few years later the actual outpatient building and the one that is used as the second inpatient service were built up. In 1986, the operating room and the dental clinic lived for three years.

Personnel situation.

The Center employs more than 10 people:
