Bertoua.
Introduction.
The health Centre of Bertoua is among the new Health Centers which are created recently. The date of the created Center was March 17th 2003.
Geographical Situation
The Lutheran Health Center of Bertoua is located in Monou quarter faced to Doumbi market. He shares the Mokolo, health area which belongs to the health district of Bertoua in the East Province. He is located at 2km from the health district; and 245km from Garoua-Boulai Protestant Hospital and 515km from the Direction of the Health System (OSEELC) located in Ngaoundere.
History.
The historic persons who gave ideas about having a Health Center were:Rev. BARYA and Dr. HEURIC, Director of Garoua-Boula? the Protestant Hospital.
As they didn’t find where to shelter the service, Rev. BARYA has to grant the old chapel building with temporary materials. The renovations in 10 small rooms were ensuring by the Direction of the OSEELC trough the primary health Care (Fund received from NORAD).
- M.OUSMANE KAK Pierre: from the date of creation 17/03/2003 to 12/07/2004;
- M. HAMADOU Baba: from 2004 to 2006;
- M. OUSMANE KAK Pierre (OKAPI): from 2006 till now.
Personnel situation.
The Centre has:
- One Registered Nurse;
- One Nurse;
- Three aids nurses;
- An Assistant Laboratory Technician;
- A Cashier;
- A Night Watchman.
